Is SafeBay free?
Yes, there is a free plan. The Community Blacklist, the Companion Chrome extension and your first 20 AI listings or edits are free. Paid plans start at $9.95 a month; Pro ($59.95 a month) adds unlimited AI listings and edits, Photo Studio with your brand kit, and automatic AI replies to buyer messages. Every new account also gets $100 of SafeBay credit toward a paid plan.
How does the community blacklist work?
A seller reports a buyer with evidence: photos, screenshots, the order. SafeBay reviews every report before it reaches anyone, and approved reports are shared with every member. A buyer’s risk level grows with the number of sellers who reported them: Low for one, Medium for two or three, High for four or more. When a reported buyer orders from you, the order is flagged in SafeBay.
Can SafeBay block a buyer on my eBay account?
Yes, through the free Companion Chrome extension. It adds reported buyers to your eBay Buyer Block list so they can’t buy from you, and you pick which risk levels it blocks. Your whitelist always wins. Buyers you block directly on eBay sync back into SafeBay, and you can import your existing eBay block list or block someone for a week or forever.
What if a buyer is reported unfairly?
The buyer can appeal from their buyer profile page. Appeals are reviewed, and inaccurate reports are removed or corrected.
What does the AI Listing Assistant do?
It runs on eBay’s own listing form, on ebay.com and ebay.ca. Type a brand and model, or just a part number. It checks what’s listed on eBay, writes the title in your style, fills the item specifics, condition, SKU and description, and suggests a price from what actually sold.
