An eBay listing in seconds. Nothing guessed.

Type what the item is, or take three photos. SafeBay’s AI fills the title, category, item specifics, condition, description and price. Every value comes from somewhere you can check, and what it can’t back up stays blank.

The Listing Assistant on eBay’s listing form after filling a camera listing: it read the draft, checked the category, researched 25 eBay listings and 2 of the seller’s own, wrote the title at 73 of 80 characters and filled 10 fields; serial number and shutter details were left out because they weren’t given.

Where every answer comes from

A listing tool that writes from thin air makes you check everything. This one tells you its source, field by field.

  • Title

Built to your own title pattern, which SafeBay works out from your last 60 titles, with the condition prefix you set. It uses the words buyers search for, counts the 80 characters the way eBay does, and drops the least useful words first when it runs over.

  • Category

Picked for the item, so the item specifics that follow are the right ones. The check compares it with the categories eBay itself suggests.

  • Item specifics

Only names and values eBay’s form allows in that category. Filled from eBay’s own “Suggested” values, the specifics of up to 10 live listings of the same item, your own listings and, for appliance parts, a catalogue of 418,000 models.

  • Condition and description

Your saved text for that condition, and your description template with this listing’s title, SKU and specifics filled in.

    Source: Your settings

  • Price

Your last sale of the item or your own listing of it. If you never sold it: what it sold for on eBay over three years, then what other sellers ask today. Each source is a row you can click to use.

  • SKU and policies

Your last shelf code, one key away on eBay’s form, and the shipping, payment and return policies you used last.

Left blank on purpose

A serial number nobody gave, a size nobody measured, a count of items the photos can’t prove. A size needs a ruler or a label in the photo, or the number in your own words; a set of two needs both items in one photo, or “set of 2” in your title. Otherwise the field stays empty, and the summary says why.

List where you already are

One assistant, three ways in. The same settings, title pattern and credits everywhere.

  1. On eBay’s own form Free Chrome extension

SafeBay Companion adds an AI fill button to eBay’s listing form on ebay.com and ebay.ca. It fills the form you already use, and on a listing you revise it runs the check instead.

  2. On the SafeBay website Any browser

A new listing, a draft or an edit of a live listing, on one page. Add photos and it works out what the item is. Publishing runs eBay’s own check first.

  3. On your phone Android now, iPhone soon

Take three photos where the item sits. Identify from photos reads them with Google Lens and AI, then Fill with AI writes the rest. Drafts follow you between the phone and the website.

A demonstration of the SafeBay app for Android: on the Draft screen, Identify from photos recognises a Honeywell 579 DBC gas ignition control from three photos with Google Lens and AI, and Use and fill with AI writes its title, picks the category and fills the item specifics and description; Suggest price then proposes $94.99 from what it sold for on eBay, and notes say what to check before publishing.

Already listed? It proofreads.

Open a live listing to revise it and press Check with AI. What it can fix comes with a Fix button; what needs you is listed apart.

ebay.com/lstng · revise
The listing check on a phone listing: a misspelled word in the title with a Fix button, model and storage fixed on the eBay form with Undo, a typo in the description, and under Needs you an empty condition description and a photo that does not show the screen on.
  • Typos in the title and the description, each with a one-click Fix and Undo
  • Item specifics that are empty, wrong or a placeholder like “N/A”
  • A condition text or description that no longer matches your saved ones, put back as they are
  • A better category when eBay itself suggests another one
  • What only you can fix, such as a photo that does not show the item working, listed apart
  • A suggestion that would change nothing is dropped before you see it.

Photos that look like one store

Shoot the item where it sits. Photo Studio takes the background away, centres it on white with a soft shadow and adds your brand kit: logo, faint marks and a caption band.

  • Clean up every new photo as it goes up, or one at a time
  • The brand goes only on the copies sent to eBay
  • 1 credit a photo

Questions about AI listings

What it does, what it costs, and what it doesn’t do. Read the privacy policy for where data goes.

Does the AI publish the listing by itself?

No. It fills the form and shows what it filled and why. You read it and publish: on eBay’s form with eBay’s own button, in SafeBay with Publish, which runs eBay’s own listing check first.

Does it work for items that are not appliance parts?

Yes. It lists any item: a camera, a phone, a tool. For an item with a part number it also reads SafeBay’s parts catalogue; for anything else it works from live eBay listings of the item, your own listings and your photos.

How many AI listings does each plan include?

Free has 4 a week, back every Monday. Paid plans include AI credits each month: an AI listing is 3 credits and a photo edit 1, so Basic covers up to 73 listings a month, Pro 300 and Enterprise 1,500 when every credit goes on listings.

Is a listing charged again when I fill it twice?

No. A listing is charged once, at its first AI fill, check or photo identification. Filling it again, the price suggestion and the check on that listing are included.

What happens when my credits run out?

On a paid plan you can buy a pack, from $7.95 for 200 credits, or turn on pay-as-you-go at 5¢ a credit up to a limit you set. Bought credits never expire. On Free, the AI is back on Monday and you can always list by hand.

Can it list in bulk or from a spreadsheet?

No. It writes one listing at a time, with you reading it. There is no CSV import.

Which eBay sites does it work on?

ebay.com and ebay.ca. The Companion runs in Chrome and other Chromium browsers on a computer; on a phone, use the SafeBay app or the website.

Where does my listing data go?

To Anthropic’s Claude, which writes the listing, and the item’s search words and part numbers to eBay’s own search. The privacy policy lists every service that receives data.
