eBay's default sort weighs how recently a listing was created and how much activity it gets. A listing that has sat for months with a handful of views drifts down the results and collects even fewer views. Ending it and posting it again gives it a new item number, a new start date, and a clean slate. Sellers do this by hand as End and relist or Sell similar. Auto-Relist does it on a schedule, for as many listings as you choose.
This is different from eBay's own "automatically relist" checkbox, which only re-runs a listing after it ends unsold. SafeBay refreshes listings that are still live.

Fifty relists in eight hours is one every ten minutes, not a burst at 9:00, so your store looks active all day. Before each one, SafeBay reads the live quantity from eBay. Sold out overnight? Skipped and marked out of stock. Still in stock? Ended and republished as a fresh listing, or relisted with eBay's native action if you prefer.

Questions sellers ask about eBay relisting
No. eBay's own "automatically relist" setting only applies to listings that end unsold, and only for a limited number of times. SafeBay Auto-Relist refreshes listings that are still live and in stock, so they keep the visibility of a newly posted item instead of ageing in search.
By default SafeBay ends the old listing and republishes an exact copy as a brand-new listing with a new item number, which is what "Sell similar" does by hand. Sellers who prefer eBay's native Relist action, which keeps the link to the original listing, can switch to the Classic method in settings.
With the default Fresh method, yes. The new listing starts from zero views and zero watchers, and that clean slate is exactly what gives it a fresh start in Best Match. If you would rather keep the tie to the original listing, choose the Classic method.
No. Before every relist SafeBay asks eBay for the live available quantity of that item. If it is zero, the listing is skipped and marked out of stock in SafeBay. The local stock count is never trusted on its own.
A relisted item counts as a new listing for eBay's monthly free-listing allowance. Most store subscriptions include hundreds or thousands of zero-insertion-fee listings a month. Check your allowance in Seller Hub and set your daily amount to stay inside it.
Your oldest in-stock listings by eBay start date, unless a plan narrows the pool by a word in the title or by "no views in the last 30 days". Listings you have excluded on the Listings page are never picked, and no listing is relisted twice within 20 hours.
Inside the time window you set, in your own timezone, spread evenly. A plan for 24 listings between 8:00 and 20:00 relists one every 30 minutes. Any run can be stopped from the Auto-Relist page and resumed later; listings already relisted stay relisted.
