A field is filled only when something backs it: what you typed, live eBay listings of the same model, your own listings or the parts catalogue. Otherwise it stays empty, and the assistant says why.

Is SafeBay Companion free?
Yes. The extension, the live counts of orders, messages and returns, and the desktop alerts are free and need no account. The AI Listing Assistant fills your first 20 listings free with a free SafeBay account; after that it is part of SafeBay Pro ($59.95 a month).
What can the Listing Assistant list?
Anything you sell on eBay: phones, cameras, clothing, collectibles, tools, parts. Type the brand and model and any details you know, or just a part number. It works on eBay’s own listing form on ebay.com and ebay.ca.
Where do the titles and item specifics come from?
From what you typed, live eBay listings of the same model, your own past listings, and for part numbers SafeBay’s parts catalogue (alternate numbers and compatible models). Colors and other visible details are read from your photos once they upload. A value nothing backs up is left blank, never guessed.
Does it publish or change listings on its own?
No. It only types into the listing form you have open, through eBay’s own fields, and only when you ask. Nothing goes live until you press List it or Save on eBay, and every fix from a listing check can be undone with one click.
Will the titles sound like mine?
The assistant studies your recent eBay titles for word order, wording and tags, adds your own condition prefixes and SKU format from the Listing Assistant settings, and keeps every title within eBay’s 80 characters, counted the way eBay counts them.
What data leaves my browser?
For the Listing Assistant: the listing’s text, item specifics and up to four photo links go to your SafeBay account, and from there to Anthropic’s Claude to write and check the text. The eBay listing search uses only the words of your description. Counts and alerts are read from your own eBay pages and stay in your browser. The privacy policy lists every data flow.
